Amongst all of the inferniarchs, the Broodrider is the exemplary mixture of their brutish nature and wicked cunning that should not be underestimated. A terrifyingly symbiotic relationship exists between the Broodrider and its mount, a bond of power and regression. The diminutive, impish broodlings, cunning and vicious, ride atop their elder counterparts, who, over time, devolve into hulking beasts. The once-sentient mounts, through their natural life cycle, grow in size and strength but lose their intelligence, becoming nothing more than feral engines of war. The Broodriders control their elders with surprising skill, directing them into battle while they themselves strike with precision and malice. Together, they form a chaotic but devastating force, capable of overwhelming even the most disciplined armies. In battle, the Broodrider is both a tactician and a berserker, using the brute strength of its mount to wreak havoc while scheming its next move.
