Due to the few types of boots out there and the rarity of creatures dropping them, they can be very expensive. Leather Boots can be found in great abundance, but anything (including Crocodile Boots) except sandals will cost a lot more.

Many people use Boots of Haste to increase their walking pace. A favorite method amongst knights is to carry boots with defensive bonus, like Depth Calcei and switch them on instead of Boots of Haste when they fight fierce monsters. Medium level knights and paladins may opt to replace steel boots with Draken Boots, which provides equivalent defense and +15 speed.

The best boots depend on the scenarios they are used in and the vocation of the player. For example, a knight hunting primarily physical-damaging creatures will use Depth Calcei or Cobra Boots, whereas a paladin may wish to keep a distance from their opponents and therefore benefit from speed bonus of Boots of Haste, Draken Boots, Prismatic Boots or Winged Boots.

In Rookgaard, only Leather Boots and Sandals can be found.

Also as of update 12.40 strongest boots are:

  • For knights: Pair of Soulwalkers (Arm:4, sword fighting +1, club fighting +1, axe fighting +1, speed +15, protection physical +7%, fire +5%).
  • For Druid: Sanguine Galoshes (Arm:3, speed +10, magic level +2, healing magic level +1, protection physical +2%, fire +8%).

Augments: (Avatar of Nature -> -900s cooldown, Eternal Winter -> +8% critical extra damage, Terra Wave -> +8% critical extra damage).

  • For Sorcerers: Sanguine Boots (Arm:3, speed +10, magic level +2, death magic level +1, protection physical +2%, ice +8%).

Augments: (Avatar of Storm -> -900s cooldown, Hell's Core -> +8% critical extra damage, Energy Wave -> +8% critical extra damage).

Also Pair of Nightmare Boots (Arm:2, magic level +1, protection energy +6%) and Pair of Dreamwalkers (Arm:2, magic level +1, protection earth +8%) are viable options, because of the +1 magic level boost.
