Legend

The Gnomes are threatened by a hostile force that bleeds this race to a slow but certain death. Therefore, they asked their dwarven allies for support. That is why the dwarfs are now looking for courageous warriors to join the gnomish troops to assist them in their distress. Are you willing to join the Bigfoots, the gnomish brigade which is fighting against the evil menace?

Location

Gnomegate and Gnomebase Alpha

Reward

Access to the Gnomish Crystal Teleport System (GCTS), Gnomegate, Gnomebase Alpha and their hunting areas including the Warzones; 24 Achievements (46 total points), Minor and Major Crystalline Tokens, Gnomish Supply Packages, Some Golden Fruits and several Warzone rewards.

Looking for Gnomerik

First, go to Kazordoon and seek out Xelvar. Ask him to join and he will give you 4 Teleport Crystals to go to the new area. (Xelvar is located in the north-west of temple, or north-west from the Phoenix Blessing) Bigfoot's Burden Quest Xelvar NPC Location

Go through the teleporter and you'll appear in the gnomish crystal teleport system (GCTS) hub. In the center, talk to the NPC Gnomette, tell her you wish to become a recruit and she will grant you access downstairs.

Recruitment

A Test In Gnomology

Go downstairs and find Gnomerik at the recruitment office. Say recruitment > yes > test and answer a series of questions. After each question you continue by saying 'test' again. You need 100 points at least to pass the test.

The answers to get 112 points are: A, C, B, D, D, D, B, D, A, A, C, C, D, A, A, D

File:Bigfoot's Burden Quest Gnomerik NPC Location.png

If you fail the test

If you fail the test you will have to get a Mushroom Beer for 10 gp with NPC Gnominus, just say to him: hi, beer, yes. When you get the mushroom beer use it fast because it will stale in 20 seconds. After drinking the mushroom beer you can try the test with Gnomerik again.

Medical Examination

Once you have joined, go west to find Gnomespector, say 'recruit', walk south through the "g-rays".

Ear Examination

Keep walking south and talk to Doctor Gnomedix (with Gnomenursey). They will instruct you to walk on the examination platform next to them. Stand there and don't move while a series of server messages appear in your local chat. Once a Strange Slime spawns your examination has finished.

Shooting

Keep walking south for the shooting test. Ask Gnomaticus about the shooting test and he will tell you to stand on a firing platform and shoot 5 consecutive target dummies. They will appear each few seconds. You must not fire the cannon when an innocent target is on the platform ahead of you.

Once done, report back to Gnomaticus and he will tell you to go south and talk to Gnomewart for the endurance test.

Endurance Test

Gnomewart will tell you to enter the teleport south of him and run through the one-way path to the exit. Run as fast as you can, but note that the floors can push you back and may slow you down. Once done, report back to Gnomewart about the endurance test. He will tell you to find Gnomelvis east of him at the soul melody area.

Soul Melody

Gnomelvis will tell you to find your soul melody. To do so, use one of the four crystals in the room. You will see either red notes or fireworks. Do this until you get 7 fireworks in a row, note that for each character there is exactly 1 combination, you must find which order to use the crystals in. When you get a red musical note, you must start over.

Report back to Gnomelvis about your musical test and he will tell you that you have completed the recruitment test. You will also get the achievement "Becoming A Bigfoot".

The sequences are random!

The warzones are the end of the questline. It encompasses a massive struggle against a horde of creatures threatening the gnomes.

There are three warzones, each harder in difficulty than the last. Each must be completed before players can proceed to the next. Also, each has a specific tactic to reach the boss.

Warzone 1

In this warzone you will face Armadiles, Stone Devourers, many Humongous Fungus and many Hideous Fungus.

To spawn the boss, maneuver through the cave to the furthest east and use the green crystal statue. Prepare yourself as 6 waves of many fungi will appear, each after a certain period even if fungi are not killed in previous waves. You probably cannot do this with a team of fewer than 15 people. After 6 waves, a portal to Deathstrike will appear for the remaining team members to kill.

Warzone 2

In this warzone you will face Magma Crawlers?, Lava Golems, Lost Berserkers, Orewalkers, Weepers and Infected Weepers. Fight your way to the barred teleport. Once there, lure an infected weeper (found on the way) and hold it near the bars. When the infected weeper summons Parasites, kill them 1 sqm in front of the bars. If done properly the gates will be damaged. Do this 3? times in a short period and the wall will be destroyed. Enter the teleport to face Gnomevil.

Warzone 3

In this warzone you will face Cliff Striders, Ironblights, Orewalkers?, Lava Golems, Magma Crawlers?, Lost Berserkers and Enslaved Dwarves?. Fight your way to the end, where you will face Vesperoth and many Lava Golem summons in the same room (hint: they don't walk over energy). Kill Vesperoth and her body will turn into a magical forcefield to enter Abyssador's lair. Enter and fight Abyssador.
