Often encountered in caves and ruins, Bats are often seen as a bad omen. Being little stronger than a rat, they are rather a nuisance than a threat to an experienced adventurer. Their diet usually consists of small animals and their rare attacks on people mainly happen out of self-defence. Bats often form large swarms, and it is slightly more dangerous to face such a swarm than a single exemplar. Bats can be found almost everywhere as long as there is some dark place close-by where they can breed and sleep.
Usually found in large groups. It seems to be much harder to get bat wings after the Winter Update 2008. The best locations to find bats are Thais's bat cave, and the floor above Stonerefiners in Venore's swamp.

Location
Dark Cathedral, Tiquanda, Drefia, Mount Sternum, Folda, Ghostlands, Kazordoon, Femor Hills, Thais Bat Dungeon, Thais Bandit Cave and in many other caves.
Behaviour
A bat attacks in melee range. A bat will retreat at 3 (10%, red) health.
Strategy
Just attack them. They are a bit stronger than rats.
