Get a player with high hitpoints
to absorb the melee, and get as many shooters (paladins
) as possible attacking the hydra from a diagonal direction. Hydras give great exp
with a comparatively low risk of death. More attackers will help counteract the hydra's frequent healing
and reduce the ammunition
cost of killing it.
Also a team may consist of 2 mages, one preferably a druid sioing the knight blocking to reduce health potion consumption, and both summon 2 Demon Skeletons each and Hmm, while the knight stands diagonal of the Hydra while the Summons attack. however if the hydra retargets the Demon skeletons will quickly die so the blocker must pay close attention and use challenge when necessary. Also hunted alone by high level knights, at level 110 or more.
A team of 60 level knight and two level 40-50 mages works very good and it's low risk of waste.
Three knights, one knight and one paladin or even two paladins could hunt hydras with this strategy: One in the team runs the hydra, if the hydra charges another member in the team, it is this persons time to run.This works best in the small spawn (south of the original one).
A team of a single paladin and a single knight can also kill a hydra. Both must have above average skills though, with the knight atleast level 90. The knight just blocks the hydra and tries to stay diagonal to the Hydra while the paladin uses Royal or Enchanted Spears and uses the Ethereal Spear attack.
