Helmets are the second important item in Equipment. They provide less defence than Armors, but helmets are cheaper and more common than Legs with the same armor value.
Your armor is the equipment that is equipped in the center-slot of a character's inventory, his torso. These are often the equipment that will provide you a high defense (Armor Value) while compared to the other kinds of equipment, but will probably be the heaviest piece of your set.
However, they are expensive, and you might spend much more money on your armor than on any other equipment piece.
Today, you have 60 armors available in game. The strongest Armor is the Magic Plate Armor (called also MPA), and the strongest available armor which is still obtainable in Rookgaard is the Chain Armor.
Due to the few types of boots out there and the rarity of creatures dropping them they can be very expensive. Leather Boots can be found in great abundance, but anything (including Crocodile Boots) except sandals will cost a lot more. I.e. when the Tiquanda update came around in 2005 crocodile boots were priced at around 15k - and nowadays are sold for around 1k.
The strongest boots are the Golden Boots, but most people use Boots of Haste(BoH). A favorite method amongst high level knights is to carry Steel Boots around with them to slip on instead of Boots of Haste when they fight fierce monsters. Also, nowadays Soft Boots is also carried around as a good item for mana and health regeneration, mostly used by high levels.
Preferred by most knights. They generally have a higher attack Value than defence value, but most knights have a shield with better defense value then their main weapon.
Preferred by most sorcerers and druids. They are fairly cheap, but this low cost is offset by them being some of the heaviest weapons in the world of Tibia.
Swords are some of most popular weapons, used by any vocation (and even by non-vocation). Swords are the most balanced weapons for attack and defense, having no severe drawbacks or great advantages in either area.
Although many players use two-handed swords because of their high attack and also high defense, if you have more than one monster attacking you, you will lose much more hitpoints than you would if you used a shield and sword. Stronger two-handed swords also tend to weigh quite a bit even more than some club and axe weapons.
Lightsources are any items that can provide light. These items are especially useful when hunting or travelling through the many dark caves and dungeons throughout Tibia.
In addition to the items listed below, many people use magic to create light. Some of the Support Spells provide varying amounts of light magically.
Amulets and necklaces are similar to rings in that some of them have a magical effect upon the wearer, but others are merely for decoration.
Most necklaces are for decoration, while amulets will generally affect the user in some way.
Decoration. The bronze necklace is proved to exist on older worlds. Given as a gift from CIP as 2nd place award for the Tibia Ball League in 2003 on Antica. In former times it was a one time spawn at the Venore swamp.
One is owned by Gryphek on the world of Antica.
Another was rewarded to Mystic Videl for winning the Tibiopedia "Tibian Traveler" contest on 31. Aug 2009.
Another was rewarded to Sahsy on the world of Libera for winning the tibiafriends "My Tibia Story" Competition on the 15. May 2010.
Only used as a decoration amulet, often neglected by most players until Rashid started buying them after Winter Update 2008 and its loot value increased dramatically.
A very rare Decoration that used to spawn in the Bonelord cave below Wyda's Hut. It can be seen in the Bank in Venore, and also in the Draconian treasure room and Emperor Kruzak's Treasure Room in Kazordoon.
Was given as a gift from CIP as 3rd place award for the Tibia Ball League in 2003 on Antica.
Two or three are known to exist on Antica. One is known to exist in Amera, owned by illustrious collector Sandee. One is known to exist in Nova, owned by Zambo. He sold it by 2kk with his friend.
This item was originally created by Charlie Root and can only be obtained by winning a contest sponsored by or a contest made by the supported fansite TibiaLottery. This item can be seen on Secura in the house of Shane who likes Cake who is the administrator and creator of Tibia Lottery. A copy of this item was given away in a 2010 competition, this was won by Benja on the world of Eternia. Recently Benja lost the amulet in a bet, and it is now owned by Mumiana.
It was won by Celaya during the TibiaLottery's "Kill Somebody or Die Trying, 2nd Edition" competition. Muhamed Marley won this item in Tibia Movie Awards 2010. .
Nyste also won this item through a lottery organised by Tibia Lottery in 2010, and the amulet can be seen in his house on the world of Refugia.
Freedom Angel also won it in "Kill Somebody or Die Trying" competition. But He sold it for 4.000.000 gold to Fusawashii
This item can be seen in upper floor of Tibian Explorer Society in Port Hope. It is most likely not yet obtainable in game. Probably just a decoration piece with no magical powers. It has what appears to be a apes paw on it.
It provides +2 armor, making it much better than a Scarf (though a Scarf is cheaper for lower leveled players). After update 8.41, the Amulet of Loss became nearly useless, making this item favored by players of all vocations.
Scarves don't have any special effects. They increase body armor by +1. A player who can't afford a Platinum Amulet should wear a scarf. This item will be bought in Edron and sold for much higher prices to a Free Account (who is unable to travel to Edron to buy his own). It is also posible to get them at the daily scarf spawn inside a corpse that you can reach by entering the desert dungeon and going all the way down and then in the room with the spiders all the way up. You see a Poison Spider and a corpse with a Book, a Rope, a Shovel, a Leather Armor, a Leather Boots, a Torch and a Backpack.
Prevented loss of all items, levels and skills. All of these amulets were turned into Broken Amulet in the 7.2 Update. The closest replacement for this amulet is the updated version of it, the Amulet of Loss.
Prevents item loss caused by dying, but breaks upon dying. Not very useful any longer, but it´s useful if people stand outside temple and wish to kill you after you died. When CIP has fixed this problem with being unable to buy blessings because you're trapped in a temple they will turn it into a broken amulet. Since update 8.41 buying all blessings gives same functionality as amulet of loss. It does not work on red skulled and black skulled players. In this case it breaks and is not lootable.
Premium players can sell them to Free Account players, who can not get all five blessings, for a higher price because only Eremo sells them. They can be bought and looted on Hardcore PvP game worlds since Update 8.53.
Reduces earth damage by exactly 10%, rounded up to the nearest whole number. It has 200 charges. The earth damage animation is replaced by a spark animation if the damage is reduced to 0.
Reduces physical and death damage by exactly 80% rounded up to the nearest whole number, it has 5 charges. This amulet only reduced death damage up until the Update 8.4. The spell conceived to the stone skin was not learned by any mage, using the stoneskin used to paralyze people, turning them into stones. So the scholars of Ankrahmun decided to embed that spell in an amulet, instead.
There are two types of containers: Item Containers and Liquid Containers. As their names indicate, an Item Container can only hold Items (not liquids), and a Liquid Container can only hold Liquids (not items).
Item Containers[]
Item containers have different capacities. Some containers can hold 20 items (Backpack), while other containers may only be able to hold 5 items (Present Box).
Some item containers can be carried in your backpack. Other item containers cannot. If you try to pick up a container that cannot be carried, you will see a message that says "you cannot take this item".
Fluid containers do not have an explicit capacity. They are either empty or they have a liquid in them.
Some liquid containers allow you to see the liquid that is inside them (Vial, Bucket, Trough, etc.), but some liquid containers do not change appearance when they have a liquid in them (Bottle, Brown Flask, Cup, etc).
Decoration, or "deco" are items that have little or no function, apart from their visual appeal. Some are difficult to acquire, yet some can be bought in stores.
Most of the times, people will leave a quest uncompleted to be able to have the quest item for decoration (the most common is the Blood Herb quest).
Documents and Papers are items that can contain writing. Some of these items can be edited to say what you want, other of these items cannot be changed, and still some others may be changed only once.
Furniture items are generally used to furnish or decorate a House or Guildhall. They can be purchased from the Furniture Shopkeeper NPCs found in each town.
Some furniture items (e.g. tables and chairs) come in a furniture package which contains a construction kit for the item. Click "Use" on the furniture package, and it will turn into the item. Once turned into furniture, you can't carry the item anymore. (With some you can.)
Musical Instruments are items used primarily for roleplaying in Tibia. Some of them can be carried around with you and others are too large to carry. Some of them can be purchased from Instrument Shopkeeper NPCs, but others are much more rare.
The immovable object Horn works like a musical instrument.
Plantas y hierbas se pueden encontrar en todo Tibia. Algunos de ellos pueden ser comprados a algunos NPCs. Si bien estos artículos no pueden ser consumidos como Food, muchas personas los utilizan para la decorations, en especial los más raros
This page refers to food items. There is also a spell called Food (Spell).
A food is any edible item that will regenerate Hit Points and Mana Points for a specific number of seconds each. There are several types of food. Some examples of food are the common Ham and Meat to the more classy Salmon and Coconut.
Valuables are items that have no "practical" use, but are generally worth a lot of money. Most gems and jewels are very valuable, and many of them can even be sold to NPCs for lots of gold.
Quest Items serve no purpose other than to help you complete a quest. You can usually only obtain one of them, and then you must give it to an NPC or otherwise give it away so that you can complete a Quest.
"Magical Items" do not necessarily have any actual magical properties. Most of them are merely for decoration. While they do not seem to have any magical effect, they are generally mysterious items, and are sometimes very rare. There are many rumours surrounding these items.
